Jean Lau Chin, Ed.D., President of CEO Services, is a licensed psychologist with over 35 years of experience and provides management consulting, educational, and organizational planning services with a focus on cultural competence.



Areas of Expertise

Academic: Academic leadership as Systemwide Dean on a multicampus school, and Dean in psychology for programs across all academic levels; academic rank at the level of full Professor

Training: Training and education includes professional workshops, courses, and clinical seminars; clinical supervision of psychology Interns, psychiatric residents, and other mental health professionals.

Management/Consulting: senior administrator and management consultant with strong program development, strategic planning, leadership and organizational development skills

Policy development: Served on federal, national, state, and local boards for policy development, advocacy, and evaluation on issues including: cultural competence; community-based service delivery systems; health, mental health, and substance abuse; ethnic minority, and Asian American populations.

Clinical services: experience as a psychologist providing diagnostic evaluations, and psychotherapy with diverse populations.

Fundraising/Grantsmanship: Successfully submitted and managed over 100 government and foundation proposals and grants.

Scholarship/Publications: Published 10 books; have over 200 professional presentations and publications on cultural competence, psychotherapy, community health and mental health, women's issues, and Asian American issues. Serve as journal reviewer; newsletter editor, and series editor of professional journals in psychology.
